Medical Cannabis SAS-B Approvals More Than Doubled In 2021
Medical Cannabis approvals more than doubled in 2021 to approximately 123,000. This is an enormous 113% increase from 2020, where we saw roughly 58,000 approvals.
TGA's data illustrates, that dried flower market share jumped up to 32% in December 2021, whilst Inhalation climbed to about 10% with oral solutions following with 52% of approvals in December 2021.

The TGA's data also indicates that chronic pain and anxiety were the two most common symptoms. Out of 11,339 SAS-B approvals, 9000 of those approvals where for chronic pain and/ or anxiety.
